Survey
Surveying your school community.
Introducing a whole school survey may be a familiar or new experience within your school. Most people at some time or another have completed surveys, maybe after a phone call to a service organisation, for school, or a competition. Some may like doing surveys, others may not. For this survey, what works best is having everyone willing and engaged.
Survey administration.
Schools receive an email and survey details directly from Resilient Youth Australia to the school’s nominated contacts (as listed in the Ask & Offer form).
Within the email, schools receive a Survey Administration Steps guide and estimated timeframe.
Within the email is the school’s unique six-digit access code for the online survey. The same access code is used for all students, another for all teachers and another for all families. Also included is a Principals Checklist and disclaimer and a Parent/Carer Letter Template schools can opt to use.
Survey delivery in your school.
The timing of the delivery of the Living Ripples survey is at the school’s discretion and encouraged in Term 1 or early Term 2 of the school year. While Resilient Youth Australia is responsible for making the survey questions accessible to all participants, making the process accessible and inclusive for all is the responsibility of the school.
If students are well prepared, the actual survey can be completed in around 30 minutes online irrespective of age. Usually, schools have the portal access open for a set time, for example, two weeks, to allow all students, parents and carers and teachers time to complete the survey.
