BSEM is an approach to support all schools with practical, classroom-based strategies to increase the engagement of all students, including those with complex and unmet learning needs. The BSEM provides techniques and approaches to support students’ self-regulation, relationships and wellbeing to increase student engagement and significantly improve academic achievement.

The BSEM is an educator-designed and evidence-led framework that enables teachers to create classrooms where every student is ready to learn and able to thrive. The Model works across five domains: Body, Stamina, Engagement and Chracter to support teachers to create a teaching and learning environment that balances and accommodates the needs of all learners within the classroom.
