The Resilience Project

What

The Resilience Project (TRP) is a whole school wellbeing program that teaches resilience and positive mental health strategies. It provides evidence-based, practical strategies to build resilience in the classroom, staffroom, family home and wider community. The TRP year-long program has lessons tailored to each year level via a dedicated online teaching hub and individual student journals.

Why

Good mental health is vital for students to learn. Research shows that many students are at risk of anxiety and disengagement, and as they get older, do not seek help for mental illness. By taking a whole school year-long approach to its university-evaluated program, TRP has increased emotional wellbeing and life satisfaction among the students taking part.

How

TRP has been developed by educators across Australia and for both primary and secondary students, has a comprehensively scripted program, teacher resource sheets and engaging Student Journal activities. Its core principles are Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy. Every school has a dedicated School Partnership Manager. theresilienceproject.com.au
