What
The Youth Impact foundation is a collaboration of organisations in the youth wellbeing charity space that exists to drive meaningful change in youth mental health, wellbeing, and leadership. Whilst The Foundation has only been operating for the past 3 years, the organisations that sit within it each have up to 10 years’ experience delivering programs directly to young people.
Why
Through a rigorous due diligence process, we integrate organisations aligned to our mission, into the Youth Impact Foundation. Our centralised service model provides shared service delivery of programs with experts in facilitation and event management helping organise and deliver programs. This model also provides talent retention, succession planning, and professional development opportunities.
The organisations currently integrated in The Youth Impact Foundation include:
Burn Bright – Leadership and Wellbeing programs
Burn Bright offers 2 types of programs: leadership-focused and wellbeing-focused. However, both touch on the protective and preventative factors for positive mental health for young people. Burn Bright works across students from year 5-12, providing tailored programs, and addressing particular concerns from schools that fall within the topics of wellbeing or leadership. A program will typically happen across a full school day, aligning breaks with the already set break times from the school. A program is typically run by 2-4 facilitators, depending on the size of the cohort and involves students participating in experiential activities that conclude with a debrief of the key takeaways that is run by the facilitator at the front of the group. There are 13 different types of programs that can be chosen by a school, each providing a specific focus for a specific year group, but are still tailored to hit specific topics as requested by the school contact.
