Agents of Change is KiP’s flagship program, designed to introduce young people to philanthropy through hands-on volunteering and guided reflection. Students step into real acts of giving and work collaboratively on structured volunteering experiences that build empathy, community connection and a sense of purpose. Through direct participation and reflection, they explore how charities operate, connect with real community needs, and begin to see the role they can play in creating positive change. The program builds core resilience and wellbeing outcomes including caring behaviours, hopeful attitudes, school connectedness and friendship. This directly supports students’ sense of belonging, agency and community engagement. Delivered within a subject or as an incursion, excursion or as part of a camp experience, the program can be adapted to suit different year levels, contexts and learning goals.
