The Wellbeing Educator is a hybrid professional learning course that equips teachers with evidence-based skills to reduce burnout, enhance engagement and build a shared language of wellbeing – growing a team of certified wellbeing champions within each school. The course empowers educators to understand the science of wellbeing, apply it to their own lives and translate it into daily classroom practice.
The course is built on The Wellbeing Distillery’s ALIVE Framework, a science-informed model distilling decades of wellbeing research into five domains: Asset (resilience), Lenses (character strengths and mindfulness), Infrastructure (sleep, nutrition and exercise), Vectors (values, goals, habits and boundaries) and Elements (positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment).
Delivered over approximately 30 hours across eight months, the program combines 15 self-paced modules (each featuring a 30–40 minute video or podcast episode, a supporting Playbook, and three science-informed tactics that can be applied immediately) with seven live one-hour discussion sessions, a personal micro-experiment, and a capstone project leading to certification as a Wellbeing Educator. Streamlined (four-month), school-led and on-demand editions are also available, with schedules designed around each school cohort.
The course is designed for classroom teachers, school leaders, support staff and education assistants. More than 1,000 educators worldwide have completed The Wellbeing Educator, with an average satisfaction score of 4.4 out of 5 stars.
