HAT Wellbeing (Here’s a Thought™) is a school-based wellbeing program dedicated to easing adolescent worry – the only program of its kind with this specific focus. HAT addresses ten identified domains of adolescent worry, including My Health, My Future, My Friends, My Identity, My Family, My Safety, My Learning, My Technology, My Body and My Environment, each with a clear way forward for students.
The program is built around a growing catalogue of 40 beautifully illustrated “HATs” – thought-provoking visual prompts – with new HATs added each month. Each individual HAT is supported by 24 unique conversations, activities and reflections, spanning structured discussion prompts, quizzes, role plays, debates, problem-solving tasks, journal prompts, gratitude reflections, character strengths activities and letters to self. Every HAT is developed by a team of six expert mental health, communication and educational professionals.
HAT is designed to be engaging for students, flexible for teachers and inclusive for families. Schools receive 40 ready-to-use lesson plans and student worksheets, alongside classroom posters and parent/carer resources – all available from the one place – enabling delivery as a structured program or flexibly integrated into pastoral care, tutor groups or wellbeing lessons across the school year.
